Test Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform all necessary tests on products as defined by Test Release Engineer and in accordance with test plans, procedures, and specifications
• Work with Test Release Engineer to ensure testing is completed in a timely manner to support the PDP process
• Continuously monitor product performance during testing
• Publish test reports in a clear, concise manner that accurately depicts the details of the test and gives clear results according to TSO
• Support Brose cleanliness policies through quality, effective, and clean testing areas
• Communicate with validation team, customer team, and customer on status, timing, and results
• Support the analysis of test failures through root cause analysis and the TIR process
• Gain knowledge of Ford, GM, and FCA tests and specifications

Requirements

• Mechanical background and basic DC electric/wiring knowledge
• 0–2 years of experience
• Lab cleanliness practices
• Environmental chambers operation
• Durability controllers
• Data acquisition systems
• BNA Machine Shop experience
• UTS (SATS) proficiency
• MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Root cause analysis
• Test report writing
• SAP experience
• TIR (Test Incident Report) process
• Ability to work in front of the customer
• Strong communication and networking skills
• Decision making and time management
• Self-motivation and conflict resolution
• Problem-solving ability
