Responsibilities

  • Test and diagnose products to the component level
  • Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems
  • Enter test and repair results in data reporting tools
  • Work with epoxies, adhesives, thermal gels, and solder
  • Perform incoming and in-process inspections to ensure products meet quality specifications
  • Perform test equipment maintenance
  • Pack and prepare products for shipping
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree / 2 year Technical Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years experience in manufacturing testing
  • Some soldering experience or certification is desired
  • Experience handling and testing of components
  • Knowledge of materials, tooling, and mechanical assembly skills for electronic products
  • Microscope and miniature microelectronic assembly skills
  • Ability to follow oral and written guidelines or drawings and accurately and concisely communicate testing results
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Proficient computer and data entry skills
  • Has willingness to learn, takes initiative, and offers improvement ideas
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent punctuality, good attendance, and reliability required
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Able to work overtime and weekends as needed

Physical Requirements

Required to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel and use a ladder in a manufacturing environment; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone. Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Occasionally may need to exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, push and pull or otherwise move objects.
