Test Technician - 1st Shift (Temp to Full Time)

Nature Of Duties

  • Test and diagnose products to the component level
  • Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems
  • Enter test and repair results in data reporting tools
  • Work with epoxies, adhesives, thermal gels, and solder
  • Perform incoming and in-process inspections to ensure products meet quality specifications
  • Pack and prepare products for shipping
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education And Experience

  • Associate's Degree / 2 year Technical Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years experience in manufacturing testing
  • Some soldering experience or certification is desired
  • Experience handling and testing of components
  • Knowledge of materials, tooling, and mechanical assembly skills for electronic products
  • Microscope and miniature microelectronic assembly skills
  • Ability to follow oral and written guidelines or drawings and accurately and concisely communicate testing results
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Proficient computer and data entry skills
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and offer improvement ideas
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent punctuality, good attendance, and reliability required
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Able to work overtime and weekends as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Required to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel and use a ladder in a manufacturing environment
  • Talk and hear, both in person and by telephone
  • Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls
  • Reach with hands and arms
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Occasionally may need to exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, push and pull or otherwise move objects
