About the role
This is an entry-level position. Successful applicants will be able to learn quickly and sometimes work extended hours due to test schedules.
Responsibilities
- Interpreting technical specifications
- Accurately preparing and setting up test articles and fixtures/vehicles (requires kneeling and heavy lifting)
- Evaluating the performance of test articles using measurements and sensors
- Documenting detailed test procedures
- Communicating with supervisors and customers in a clear and timely manner
- Organizing and prioritizing tasks to ensure all deadlines are met
- Maintaining and monitoring test equipment
- Collaborating with other facilities to maintain consistent operating practices and introduce improvements throughout the company
Requirements
- High attention to detail
- Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- General computer skills (Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word)
Qualifications
- Strong experience with basic hand and power tools
- Experience with basic fabrication tools (band saw, drill press, etc.)
- General understanding of fasteners (metric/standard)
Skills
- Basic understanding of automotive parts and mechanics
- Welding experience
- Hi-lo experience
