About the role
Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for a Test, Product, Delivery Technician to join them onsite in Gilbert, AZ. This position is 3rd shift only.
Responsibilities
- Test Flight deliverable electronic assemblies for Moog Broad Reach products, including running functional scripts using the Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) and executing environmental tests (vibration, thermal, EMI, thermal vacuum).
- Follow written test procedures, support debug, assemble hardware, and operate environmental chambers as necessary.
- Run functional scripts written in Perl from the command prompt, which call LabView VIs and commands written in C running on embedded processors.
- Debug using DMMs and Oscilloscopes to support engineers in debug activity to the component level; work with engineers to understand required data and communicate results.
- Assemble completed circuit card assemblies into next higher chassis assembly, including limited cable and/or circuit card re-work, mechanical fabrication, and assembly of test equipment enclosures and front panels.
- Record detailed troubleshooting steps and results for documenting actions performed on the hardware.
- Provide updates to procedures and test equipment designs based on testing and support release through the Moog Broad Reach document control system using Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Excel, Intercept Mozaix, and Microsoft Word.
- Maintain work areas by performing Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain (5S) tasks.
- Perform tasks of a lesser or similar nature under supervision of a senior technician.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience as a Testing Technician.
- Associate in electrical and computer technology degree or equivalent, and/or High school diploma preferred.
- Knowledgeable in electrical circuit functionality and how to use electrical test equipment.
- Proficient in Windows applications such as Visio, Word, and other MS Office tools.
- Willing to take direction and execute assignments as asked.
- Scripting experience.
- Self-motivated and willing to take ownership of assignments and look for ways to execute on time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification to J-STD and ability to create cable drawings using Visio.
- Knowledge of programming languages and experience with schematic capture.
- Experience with cable assembly and soldering.
- Scripting in LabView VIs.
Schedule
- 3rd shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM AZ Time zone.
- 9/80A5S schedule.
Pay
Phoenix, AZ: $30.00–$35.00 hourly.
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
