Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one test preparation instruction
- Assess student strengths and areas for improvement to create personalized study plans
- Teach subject-specific content and effective test-taking strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Assign and review practice tests, homework, and study materials
- Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress and goals
- Maintain accurate records of student sessions and performance
- Stay informed on changes to standardized tests, testing formats, and preparation resources
- Contribute to workshops, seminars, or informational sessions as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in tutoring, academic coaching, or educational consulting
- Experience tutoring standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, PSAT, SSAT, ISEE, AP Exams, GRE, GMAT, or similar assessments
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively
- Ability to motivate students and build confidence
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple students
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience tutoring middle and high school math and science
- Familiarity with current standardized testing trends and preparation resources
