About the role

Help deliver the technology that keeps people moving. Vix Technology USA is looking for an experienced Test Manager to support our automated fare collection projects across North America and around the world. Working with regional and international engineering and QA teams, you will lead testing across integrated hardware and software solutions. This is a role for someone who combines technical understanding with clear communication, confident customer engagement and a practical approach to delivering quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an end-to-end understanding of customers' solutions and translate project requirements into effective test plans, selecting the right test cases for integration testing, user acceptance testing and commissioning.
  • Coordinate testing activities from planning through to completion, manage defects and assess risks, helping teams make informed decisions about quality and readiness.
  • Establish the time, resources and budget needed to deliver testing, securing management support and keeping stakeholders informed as work progresses.
  • Provide reporting that gives a clear picture of test execution, requirements coverage, defect status and performance against agreed quality criteria.
  • Produce test completion reports that give customers and internal teams confidence in the results.
  • Collaborate across software and hardware engineering, Cloud Operations and Platform teams, commissioning colleagues, product owners and business users.
  • Resolve issues, communicate priorities and support delivery decisions through regular discussions with project stakeholders.
  • Act as a key customer contact, building relationships based on trust, transparency and mutual respect; discuss testing progress, customer issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure testing standards and procedures are documented, implemented and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • At least seven years of relevant testing experience, plus an additional three or more years as a Test Lead or Test Coordinator on IT or technology projects.
  • Background including both hardware and software testing, test automation, and substantial experience coordinating UAT and working directly with customers.
  • Relevant certification such as ISEB, ISTQB, Tricentis Tosca or a comparable qualification.
  • Experience working in Agile environments, familiarity with CI/CD, and confidence using tools such as Atlassian Jira (advantageous).
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, Engineering, Technology, Economics or a related discipline — or an equivalent qualification (desirable).
  • Analytical problem-solving approach with clear communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity, taking initiative, and building productive partnerships across teams and locations.

Benefits

  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k)
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
  • Training & Development
  • Work From Home
