About the role

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Flight Systems Integration and Test Lab Manager in Roy, UT. This individual will report to the Missile Integration and Test Director and be responsible for the overall test and checkout of the Missile lab, including requirements, test planning, execution, and delivery. The role requires leadership in collaboration across multiple sub-IPT teams for successful integration, test, and checkout of missile hardware and software configurations. Familiarity with lab environments, certification, scheduling, and lab custodianship is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the lab team in Hardware in the Loop (HIL) Integration and Test to validate hardware and software functionality, including test requirements, test plan/procedure development, execution, and support of Integrated Functional Capability tests and certification.
  • Interface with the US Government customer through Test Readiness Reviews, Integration Readiness Reviews, and participation in working groups supporting flight systems test events.
  • Support system architecture and verification planning in coordination with systems engineering and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
  • Assess the impact of design changes on hardware and software compatibility, ensuring cross-disciplinary support through test and integration.
  • Develop comprehensive design and interface requirements to support verification efforts, ensuring cross-functional communication.
  • Ensure program master test plans, integration concepts, and flows are constructed in a "Test Like You Fly" (TLYF) manner and verified.
  • Lead formal data review processes and hold engineering teams accountable for objective, efficient, and timely review of test data.
  • Oversee performance, progression, and mentoring of Integration, Assembly, Test, and Checkout engineers, including personnel management and activity direction.
  • Facilitate and own the risk management process for test execution in coordination with the Missile Integration and Test Director and Flight Systems Risk Manager.
  • Manage timely cost and schedule reporting to support program management reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of related experience, Master’s Degree and 6 years of experience, or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience leading tasks on schedule and within budget as a project lead, integrated program team, or cost account manager.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams or organizations to achieve common goals.
  • Knowledge of system integration and test principles, including test plan development at unit, sub-system, or system levels.
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, with ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
  • Previous ICBM experience.
  • Experience standing up a lab environment or Hardware in the Loop (HIL) test bed.
  • Knowledge and experience using CAMEO and/or Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles.
  • Experience with DOORS Requirements Management Database.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret Clearance.

Pay

Primary salary range: $151,500.00 – $227,300.00. Base salary offers consider scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
