Test Engineer/Quality Assurance

About the role
The Senior Test Engineer/Quality Assurance professional leads testing strategy implementation and ensures software quality through comprehensive test automation and quality assurance practices. This position develops and maintains automated test frameworks, conducts system performance testing, and ensures all software meets the Definition of Done criteria before deployment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated testing frameworks
- Develop and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, end-to-end)
- Conduct system performance and scalability testing
- Lead test-driven development (TDD) practices
- Create and maintain requirements traceability matrix
- Conduct black box and white box testing
- Implement continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines
- Generate and analyze test coverage reports
- Lead defect tracking and resolution processes
- Support third-party code review preparations
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of software testing and QA experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent substitution)
- Expert knowledge of test automation frameworks (Robot Framework, Selenium, etc.)
- Strong programming skills for test development (Python, Java, etc.)
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, etc.)
- Knowledge of test-driven development and behavior-driven development
- Experience testing containerized applications and microservices
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps
- Experience with security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA)
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
- Must be U.S. citizen
Location
National Capital Region (NCR) or San Antonio, TX
Pay
Salary range: $77,000–$163,000, commensurate with qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise.
