Test Engineer - Mission Software (Top Secret/SCI Clearance Required)

North Point Technology is looking to hire a Test Engineer to join a cross-functional Agile Scrum team delivering geospatial intelligence software capabilities in support of critical national security missions. This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph examination. The role offers the opportunity to work alongside software engineers, product managers, systems engineers, and mission experts to ensure the delivery of reliable, secure, and high-performing software through robust manual and automated testing practices in a DevSecOps environment. Responsibilities: The Test Engineer will lead the planning, design, development, and execution of comprehensive test strategies across multiple Agile sprints, including functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing. The engineer will design, develop, and maintain automated and manual test cases for new and existing capabilities, collaborate with software engineers, product managers, systems engineers, and Scrum Masters to define acceptance criteria, and validate application performance, reliability, security, and usability. Additional responsibilities include identifying, documenting, prioritizing, and tracking software defects through resolution; supporting CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated testing into deployment workflows; analyzing test results; and contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance Agile team effectiveness.
