About the role

We are seeking an exceptional Functional and Training Specialist to support the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Global Air Transportation Execution System (GATES) Surface/Water Program. GATES serves as a single port management system providing cargo planning, in-transit visibility, vessel manifesting, customs clearance, cargo documentation, and sends payment data to ARTRANS G8 for cargo billing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive software test plans that support GATES testing requirements.
• Develop scenarios that thoroughly test the specified platforms and systems, linked to standard datasets with representative cargo records and known data format/content flaws to simulate real-world data.
• Perform various GATES roles to properly test the system functionally during software testing.
• Ensure software meets functional requirements and conduct regression testing to confirm code changes don’t negatively impact other operational requirements.
• Document any problems or issues that arise in the Daily Update Report.
• Assist with GATES training kits maintenance.
• Provide a broad range of training support in all aspects of the GATES mission, including virtual, computer-based, and in-person training.
• Assist in developing course material and instruct the GATES hand-held terminal course, covering device set-up and configuration, cargo processing, and data transfer.
• Assist in creating virtual and computer-based training.
• Complete After-Action Reports (AAR) after events.
• Prepare classroom and audio-visual equipment for training sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science OR a Bachelor’s degree in any field plus one of the following certifications: CCSP, Security+, CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, FITSP-O, GICSP, SSCP.
• 5 years’ experience in developing software test plans and ensuring software meets functional requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with GATES, Integrated Booking System (IBS), Transportation Financial Management System (TFMS), Transportation Coordinator's Automated Information For Movement System (TC AIMS II), Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES), Integrated Surface Distribution Data Cleansing Tool (iSDDC), Deployment Support System II (MDSS II), Munitions Transportation Management System (MTMS), Army War Reserve Deployment System (AWARDS), or Distribution Standard System (DSS).
• Active Secret Clearance (minimum requirement).
