Test Engineer - Level 2

About the role

As a Test Engineer - Level 2, you will design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment. You will plan and arrange the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. You will compile data and define changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. You will be responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.

Responsibilities

• Perform product testing, working in close collaboration with all parts of the Operating Unit for the test planning, coordinating, setup, execution, data reduction, test reporting, and post-data processing.
• Support with test data collection, post-test data review, reporting, and support test requirements verification.
• Leverage modern tools and methods to reduce cost and schedule of product testing.
• Accountable to the Operating Unit Operations Test Engineering Manager for meeting the Operations Test Engineering safety, quality, delivery, and cost expectations of internal and external customers within entire product value streams.
• Must be able to support working multiple shifts; ie: 1st shift 6am to 3:30pm and 2nd shift 2:30pm to Midnight.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM discipline with 2 years of test experience; OR Master's Degree in STEM.
• Experience troubleshooting test equipment, test tooling, and test harnesses.
• Experience with testing automation or other lean manufacturing/testing methodologies.
• Demonstrated technical writing and/or procedure development skills.
• Ability to support working multiple shifts; ie: 1st shift 6am to 3:30pm and 2nd shift 2:30pm to Midnight.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in STEM discipline with 2 years of test experience; OR Master's Degree in STEM Experience troubleshooting test equipment, test tooling, and test harnesses.
• Basic Qualifications: Experience with testing automation or other lean manufacturing/testing methodologies.
• Basic Qualifications: Demonstrated technical writing and/or procedure development skills.
• Basic Qualifications: Ability to support working multiple shifts; ie: 1st shift 6am to 3:30pm and 2nd shift 2:30pm to Midnight.
• Basic Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship Preferred.

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00
