Level 2 Test Engineer
Job Summary
Peraton is seeking a Level 2 Test Engineer to support modernizing mega data repositories, dataflow management, data provenance, and compliance validation. This position requires a Top Secret/SCI with Poly clearance and does not allow remote work.
About the Role
As a Level 2 Test Engineer, you will provide IC data management support, assist with Level 1 tasks, research and apply Government T&E concepts, plan and execute performance analysis, review acquisition approaches, analyze performance risks, specify, validate, and adapt modeling and simulation, apply statistical analysis, design sampling approaches, plan and execute data collection, develop and use analysis tools, and carry out evaluation plans using collected test data.
Responsibilities
- Research and apply Government T&E concepts across engineering, acquisition, and operations
- Plan and execute performance analysis
- Review acquisition approaches to align T&E with decision-maker needs
- Analyze performance risks to inform planning
- Specify, validate, and adapt modeling and simulation
- Apply statistical analysis to assess performance variability and confidence
- Design sampling approaches to manage uncertainty
- Plan and execute data collection
- Develop and use analysis tools
- Carry out evaluation plans using collected test data
- Plan and coordinate program- and event-level testing
- Assess system requirements, operational environments, and testability
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering and stakeholders to support evaluation planning and user participation
- Establish and manage data and configuration processes
- Support data authentication
- Ensure compliance with reporting standards
- Develop evaluation documentation (e.g., evaluation plans, analysis plans, data requirements, risk assessments, and reports)
- Contribute to Government T&E deliverables
- Design SME/user surveys
- Participate in integrated product and test teams
- Ensure test readiness (including training, equipment, and compliance)
- Coordinate instrumentation and facilities
- Execute testing and data collection in accordance with approved plans
Requirements
- Experience with JIRA, GitLab, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Test Engineer supporting similar programs or contracts
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or a related field (4 additional years of Test Engineer experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree)
- A current TS/SCI with Poly clearance is required
