Responsibilities

  • Follow current Test Engineering (TE) development processes and participate in Process Improvement activities, including process generation, checklists, and data analysis.
  • Perform tasks according to budget and schedule.
  • Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks and prepare technical status reports.
  • Design portions of electronic test equipment for both in-house use (Factory Acceptance and Engineering development) and customer applications using modern computer technology, data acquisition equipment, and control systems.
  • Develop and implement requirements, detail design, and Factory Acceptance Test Procedure (FATP) from engineering source data.
  • Interface with the Program team and customers, providing inputs to technical presentations, telecoms, and formal reviews.
  • Develop and debug Test Program Sets (TPSs) for production hardware, including LabView and LabWindows applications based on explicit and derived requirements.
  • Contribute to designs that advance Statistical Process Control (SPC), Cpk error analysis tools, and features.
  • Provide technical support to other engineering disciplines and production personnel for the release of new test programs and procedures.
  • Assist in the transition from engineering to production test methods.
  • Participate in integration, verification, and validation activities of developed test equipment.
  • Participate in equipment maintenance and repair in factory and field installations.
  • Prepare engineering changes and status reports as required.
  • Analyze and interpret test data.
  • Provide inputs for technical solutions and estimates for requests for proposal.
  • Coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in factory and field installations.
  • Provide metrics for reporting to Senior Test Engineering personnel, including Technical Performance Metrics, Earned Value, and process adherence.
  • Provide inputs for project planning and monitoring using MS Project, MS Excel, etc.
  • Provide direction to Designers, Drafters, Technicians, and lower-level Engineers.
  • Occasional travel requiring overnight stays may be required; airline travel must be acceptable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a four-year college.
  • 5-10 years of related experience.
  • Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when necessary for work on a project that requires such a clearance.
  • Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC, with the ability to:
    • Identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand restricted access to these products and related technical data for only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents.
    • Recognize Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation.
    • Follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL).
    • Understand Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US.
    • Manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.

Skills

  • Proficiency in computer-assisted engineering and design software, including LabView, LabWindows, C++, DOORS, Visual Basic, Microsoft SQL, or Microsoft Access.
  • Experience with project planning and monitoring tools such as MS Project and MS Excel.
  • Ability to provide peer review services for Test Engineering personnel.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $87,088 - $145,146. Compensation varies depending on skill sets, experience, training, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range.

Additional compensation

  • An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment.
  • Positions hired for alternative shifts may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
