About the Opportunity

The Test Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing testing activities to support high-quality, defect-free software delivery. This role develops test plans, creates and executes test cases, manages defects, and collaborates with Agile teams to achieve sprint and project milestones. The position also contributes to automation strategies, risk management, testing standards, and continuous process improvement across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain expertise in business domains related to assigned product families to establish appropriate testing scope and plans.
• Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to create comprehensive test cases and prepare test data.
• Conduct test case reviews with Agile teams to ensure adequate requirements coverage.
• Document, administer, and execute manual and automated test cases and scripts.
• Collaborate with Test Automation Engineers to identify automation opportunities and provide appropriate test cases.
• Accurately document and communicate test results to project teams and stakeholders.
• Report, track, and monitor defects while providing detailed information to support effective triage and resolution.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve sprint and project goals.
• Identify and escalate testing risks, dependencies, and issues to maintain transparency and support timely resolution.
• Recommend productivity and process improvements and develop testing estimates and plans for multiple projects.
• Mentor less experienced testers and promote consistent testing practices across teams.
• Stay current with emerging testing tools, technologies, and methodologies.
• Develop and implement testing standards, methodologies, and strategies across projects.
• Lead testing strategy, scope, and planning efforts for multiple projects within assigned product portfolios.
• Represent testing teams in project meetings, provide progress updates, and manage testing dependencies.
• Support onboarding and training of new testers while fostering a culture of communication and continuous improvement.
• Monitor the quality of test automation implementation and track testing metrics and performance.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and support successful completion.
• Lead testing communities of practice and recommend testing strategies and improvements to senior management.
• Adhere to organizational values, privacy requirements, quality standards, and applicable policies.

Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge and technical skills applicable to multiple levels of software testing responsibilities.
• Ability to analyze business and technical requirements to determine appropriate testing strategies and plans.
• Experience with both manual and automated software testing methodologies.
• Strong understanding of test case development, execution, defect management, and test reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for clearly reporting test results, risks, and issues.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within Agile and cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple testing activities, priorities, and project dependencies.
