Job Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual test plans to validate software functionality and system performance.
- Perform extensive manual software testing throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test procedures.
- Participate in test case walkthroughs with developers, systems engineers, and stakeholders to validate requirements and expected outcomes.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing activities.
- Identify, document, track, and assist with resolving software defects and anomalies.
- Validate software enhancements, bug fixes, and newly developed features prior to deployment.
- Support system integration testing activities across multiple applications and environments.
- Collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, and other technical teams to improve overall system quality.
- Analyze requirements and translate them into detailed testing strategies and test cases.
- Document test results and maintain accurate testing records and supporting documentation.
- Support Linux-based environments and gain exposure to automation and CI/CD processes.
- Adhere to established engineering standards, security requirements, and quality assurance procedures.
Required Skills
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline
- Four (4) years of additional work experience may be substituted for a degree
- Experience performing manual software testing activities
- Experience creating and executing test plans, test procedures, and test cases
- Ability to conduct test case walkthroughs and validate software requirements
- Experience documenting test results, defects, and remediation efforts
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative Agile development environment
Desired Skills
- Experience with functional, integration, regression, or user acceptance testing
- Exposure to Linux or UNIX operating systems
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools
- Exposure to scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Shell scripting
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD concepts
- Experience supporting mission-critical or enterprise environments
