Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual test plans to validate software functionality and system performance.
  • Perform extensive manual software testing throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test procedures.
  • Participate in test case walkthroughs with developers, systems engineers, and stakeholders to validate requirements and expected outcomes.
  • Execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Identify, document, track, and assist with resolving software defects and anomalies.
  • Validate software enhancements, bug fixes, and newly developed features prior to deployment.
  • Support system integration testing activities across multiple applications and environments.
  • Collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, and other technical teams to improve overall system quality.
  • Analyze requirements and translate them into detailed testing strategies and test cases.
  • Document test results and maintain accurate testing records and supporting documentation.
  • Support Linux-based environments and gain exposure to automation and CI/CD processes.
  • Adhere to established engineering standards, security requirements, and quality assurance procedures.

Required Skills

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline
  • Four (4) years of additional work experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Experience performing manual software testing activities
  • Experience creating and executing test plans, test procedures, and test cases
  • Ability to conduct test case walkthroughs and validate software requirements
  • Experience documenting test results, defects, and remediation efforts
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative Agile development environment

Desired Skills

  • Experience with functional, integration, regression, or user acceptance testing
  • Exposure to Linux or UNIX operating systems
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools
  • Exposure to scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Shell scripting
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD concepts
  • Experience supporting mission-critical or enterprise environments
