Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Generate and publish Test Procedures and Test Reports for the Integration and Verification of FTI with new NAS Equipment, Maintenance and Degraded Operations (MDO) of the NESG and Internal (FNTB OpIP) Programs, Equipment Replacement due to obsolescence, Tech Refresh, and interoperability testing of NAS systems.
• Define Test Strategies, coordinate, and perform testing for User connections to the NESG, ensuring thorough and complete test coverage.
• Maintain a centralized IPSF Database (repository) by preparing, verifying, and auditing IPSFs associated with IP addressing and data flows through the FNTB ESG. Troubleshoot after implementation in the FNTB and provide updated, tested configurations as a basis for the Operational IPSFs.
• Provide IESP integration and development test support.
• Review applicable ARB documentation and support related activities for FTI baseline changes; facilitate the implementation of ARB architecture changes in a consistent manner to assure compliance with policy; review all CINP ARB documentation.
• Provide engineering, technical support, and integration and test support for SWIM-provided SOA services for NAS systems.
• Conduct security testing for all systems and services with system owners, including penetration testing and IRAT.
• Create and maintain the ED11 tab in IPSFs to support the zero-trust FNTB Internal (FNTB OpIP) mandate.
• Create and maintain the Remote Management Access Gateway (RMAG) tab for remote access.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 11 years of experience. Equivalency substitutions (subject to client approval):
  • Bachelor’s degree and 14 years of experience
  • Associate’s degree and 16 years of experience
• Ability to travel to meetings at FAA or vendor facilities around the U.S. if required by the role.
• Experience supporting federal government programs within the FAA.
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident with a minimum of three (3) years of U.S. residency.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and/or in collaborative team environments to complete assigned tasks within expected timelines.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple systems, priorities, and compliance activities simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and review formal security documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Pay

Compensation at Noblis is determined by factors including education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, and contract-specific affordability. The projected salary range for this position is USD $95,500.00 - USD $149,200.00 per year for full-time status. Part-time or on-call staff compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked.
