About the role
Corvid Technologies is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to support the development and testing of hypersonic weapon systems. The position involves working on a blended team in Crane, IN, focusing on system integration and test activities.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for vehicle readiness, integration readiness, test configuration control, and test-related risk identification and mitigation.
- Develop, document, and execute test workflows and procedures to support efficient test operations.
- Lead end-of-the-end test campaign lifecycle activities including planning, procedure development, integration, execution, and data capture.
- Lead, oversee, and refine system integration processes for supersonic and hypersonic test vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, avionics, and telemetry checkout operations.
- Manage test schedules in coordination with fellow Test Engineers and area managers.
- Conduct site visits to experimenter locations to confirm readiness for vehicle integration prior to arrival at the Indiana Payload Integration Facility.
Requirements
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of relevant test experience is required (Experience may substitute for degree).
- The position requires being a resident of the Crane, IN area and willing to travel up to 30% of time to support test events.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute detailed test procedures for complex aerospace or high-performance systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for performing fit checks, integration operations, and hands-on hardware verification.
- Working knowledge of telemetry checkout equipment and other vehicle/payload ground support equipment operations.
- Experience integrating hardware and/or software components for aerospace systems is a plus.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with environmental test systems such as vibration, mass properties, flight safety processes, and telemetry integration is preferred.
Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with telemetry checkout equipment and other vehicle/payload ground support equipment operations.
- Experience integrating hardware and/or software components for aerospace systems.
- Familiarity with environmental test systems such as vibration, mass properties, flight safety processes, and telemetry integration.
