Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and debug test automation software for manufacturing test stations.
- Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of software for sophisticated manufacturing test systems.
- Analyze test data generated by manufacturing test stations to support product quality and process improvements.
- Collaborate closely with hardware engineers and software developers to integrate test solutions with products and systems.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on test equipment, test methods, and best practices for automated testing.
- Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks and tools to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Keep current with the latest industry developments in test automation, electronics testing, and related technologies.
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of test system issues and contribute to corrective actions.
- Document test procedures, test cases, and system configurations to ensure repeatability and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
- Proficiency in writing software in languages such as C# and Python.
- Basic understanding of electronics and electronic circuits.
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to collaborate effectively with hardware engineers and software developers.
- Able to design, develop, and debug test automation software.
- Familiarity with test stations and test automation concepts.
- An attention to detail and the ability to think creatively to solve technical challenges.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Test Automation Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Test Engineer.
- Experience with automating electronics test equipment such as digital multimeters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and vector network analyzers.
- Familiarity with RF measurement concepts and antenna testing.
- Experience using oscilloscopes and other electronic measurement instruments.
- Experience with databases, including SQL and/or NoSQL systems.
- Experience working with test automation software and manufacturing test stations.
- Familiarity with JIRA or similar tools for tracking work and issues.
- Interest in staying current with industry trends in test automation, electronics, and software engineering.
Benefits
Pay Range: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00/yr.
The client will pay for relocation, stipend, stock, hotel stay for up to 3 months and potential sign on bonus.
This is a fully onsite position in Midland, TX.
