About the role
We are a company dedicated to improving the world responsibly and safely through innovation and exploration. Our Test Engineer will be part of a team focused on safeguarding astronaut health and advancing technologies for human space exploration.
Responsibilities
- Maintain Safety records and certifications.
- Develop test strategies and plans based on project requirements and verification documents.
- Coordinate with service providers to schedule test facilities as needed.
- Collaborate with project management, customers, and other stakeholders to establish and execute test schedules.
- Conduct functional, development, certification, acceptance, and integration testing throughout the project lifecycle.
- Correlate test results and prepare detailed test reports.
- Provide technical support and knowledge during integrated hardware/software testing.
- Process hardware at designated laboratories and Johnson Space Center Test Facilities.
- Read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings.
- Work closely with customers and project team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university.
- At least 5 years of related experience in product testing for flight hardware development.
- Experience with JSC projects and test facilities.
- Experience with testing in a laboratory setting.
- Experience with pressure systems.
- At least 2 years of experience in flight hardware development.
Skills
- Microsoft Office products.
