Test Engineer Assistant (G-Project)

Main Function

• EQUIPMENT SELECTION: Specify Machine type, expected throughput, expected yields, and required equipment manning. Liaise with customers to understand their needs and requirements.
• EQUIPMENT PERFORMANCE: Ensure equipment performs as per supplier's specifications and within the requirements of the quotation. Achieve targets, maintain quality, and manage yields.
• TESTER MAINTENANCE: Manage all planned preventative maintenance schedules, line support for breakdowns, and major machine overhaul activity. Forecast, stock, and order spare parts and consumables.
• NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTION: Design test processes for new products, including specifying the correct types and quantity of testers. Ensure test processes operate as designed during start-up.
• QUALITY: Work with the Quality group to establish quality plans and resolve tester/software/process problems.
• TEAMWORK: Co-operate with all departments and take a lead role on test-related issues.
• DOCUMENTATION: Provide process documentation and test programs for production build, ensuring accurate pin out listings.
• ECN ACTIVITY: Participate in Change Control Meetings and implement changes into test processes.
• TEST EQUIPMENT: Manage major test equipment movements and installations. Negotiate and provide third-party service contracts. Maintain spares and consumables for testers and fixtures.
• QUOTATIONS / TOOLING: Specify and order test fixtures required for the test process when a new customer is introduced. Specify other non-recurring expenses during this process.
• MEASUREMENTS: Measured on TEST YIELDS, FALSE FAILURE RATE, TEST SYSTEM UP and DOWN TIME, ON-TIME DELIVERY FULFILLMENT, SPARES INVENTORY and MAINTENANCE.
• CUSTOMER FOCUS: Recognize importance in providing customer satisfaction to both internal and external customers and act to provide the best quality products, services, and communication.
