About the role
This entry-level Test Center Manager position offers an opportunity to grow your career while managing a small team of Test Administrators. You will balance hands-on test administration duties with leadership responsibilities, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Responsibilities
- Test Administrator duties (60% of daily tasks):
- Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts and perform on-time site opening/closing procedures.
- Check in examinees, verify identification, and explain the exam process.
- Monitor examinees during testing and maintain a secure testing environment.
- Communicate with internal technical support to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Adhere strictly to company policies and maintain a professional, clean testing center (light housekeeping duties).
- Stand for extended periods while escorting candidates (50–100 times per shift) and sit for long periods during monitoring.
- Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs, bend, stoop, and lift from a stooped position.
- Test Center Manager duties (40% of daily tasks):
- Manage onsite staffing, including hiring, scheduling, conflict resolution, and retention.
- Train, develop, and coach a small team of Test Administrators.
- Serve as the first contact for facility-related issues.
- Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience (preferred).
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience (preferred).
- One year of supervision experience in customer service (preferred).
- Team leadership, training skills, and exposure to a testing environment (strongly preferred).
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with focused attentiveness and moderate interaction.
- Flexibility in work hours and days, including availability for occasional Sundays and 1–4 Saturdays per month.
- Ability to work 35–40 hours per week, with additional hours as needed.
- Must be available to address operational issues outside of scheduled shifts.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Windows applications, internet, and email.
- Ability to operate a computer and telephone in a quiet, focused environment.
- Must be able to hear soft-spoken words and see small details at a distance (e.g., ID cards, computer screens).

Pay
$19.00 per hour.
Schedule
- Full-time, on-site position.
- Shifts vary between 7:20 AM and 8:00 PM, Monday through Saturday.
- Expect to work 1–4 Saturdays per month; Sundays are infrequent but possible.
