Test Center Manager

We are looking for a dependable Test Center Manager to oversee daily testing operations. This is a Contract position with a 35-hour regular schedule, generally it is open Monday to Saturday: 7am to 5pm average of 4 days a week, supporting a secure and detail-oriented environment for exam candidates. The person in this role will combine customer service, administrative coordination, and test center oversight to help deliver a consistent and fair testing experience. Responsibilities:• Welcome candidates upon arrival, confirm their identity, and guide them through check-in procedures with care and accuracy.• Carry out required security screening steps, including the use of monitoring tools, to protect the integrity of the testing environment.• Observe testing sessions through regular room checks and active proctoring to ensure compliance with established rules and procedures.• Respond promptly to candidate concerns, technical issues, or unexpected situations, escalating matters when needed.• Support basic troubleshooting for testing equipment and workstation issues to minimize disruptions during exam delivery.• Maintain strict control of test materials, equipment, and secure areas at all times to uphold exam security standards.• Complete incident reports and other documentation clearly and accurately whenever exceptions or policy concerns arise.• Assist with operational tasks during slower periods, including organizing materials, handling light equipment movement, and preparing items for shipment or setup.• Apply test center policies consistently while adapting to scheduling needs based on site operating hours and business demand.• Promote a respectful, fair, and comfortable experience for every candidate from arrival through exam completion. • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional college coursework is preferred. • At least one year of face-to-face customer service experience in settings such as retail, hospitality, food service, or similar environments. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume setting while maintaining attention to detail and sound judgment. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare accurate reports and interact professionally with candidates and colleagues. • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows-based systems and common workplace applications, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web browsers. • Physical ability to stand or remain stationary for extended periods, walk through testing rooms frequently, and escort candidates as needed. • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 pounds, as well as work safely around computer equipment in confined spaces. • Comfort using visual monitoring tools and computer screens to supervise exam activity and maintain testing security.
