Test Center Administrator (Anchorage, AK)

Pearson VUE is a business of Pearson, the world's leading learning company. This part‑time Test Administrator position is located at the Anchorage, Alaska test center (2550 Denali).

Responsibilities

• Comply with all testing procedures and strictly adhere to company policies using careful judgment
• Check in testing candidates, verify identification, and explain the exam process
• Proctor / invigilate candidates while testing
• Troubleshoot with internal departments to fix technical issues
• Complete light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming the floors and sanitizing keyboards after each candidate has finished their examination
• Other duties as assigned

Schedule

• Availability to work a variety of shifts any day – Monday through Saturday – between 7:00 am and 9:00 pm
• About 2 Saturdays per month; Sunday shifts infrequent but possible if needed
• Flexible scheduling required
• Part‑time position: 6‑10 hours per week, with potential for additional hours if needed
• Schedules provided at least 2 weeks in advance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 1 year customer service experience preferred
• Experience proctoring or invigilating exams highly preferred
• Must be flexible in work hours and days
• Beginner to intermediate experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Ability to sit for long periods of time and escort candidates to and from the testing room
• Ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 20 lbs with reasonable accommodation
• Comfortable in a quiet testing environment, able to hear soft voices, and see details from a distance

Pay

Starting pay is $18.50 per hour.
