As a senior Test Automation Software Engineer located in Morrisville, NC or Aurora, CO, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. This role operates on a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Responsibilities

  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Analyses are performed at all levels of total system products to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Maintains existing operations procedures and updates them to include lessons learned from real-time performance. Develops new procedures as required.
  • Interfaces with program and customer personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience – OR – Master’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience – OR – PhD with 8 years of relevant experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Experience working in a software Agile delivery framework leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with product lifecycles for new and existing products.
  • Ability to understand wants vs. needs of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience converting technical and business requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories.
  • Experience in the use of Python software language.
  • Experience with one or more of the following test automation frameworks and tools: Behave, Zephyr, Cucumber, RFT, Robot Framework.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Nexus.
  • Experience with CI/CD orchestration utilizing Jenkins and GitLab.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current/Active CI or FS polygraph.
  • STEM degree.
  • Experience in the use of Java, C, or C++ software languages.
  • Detailed familiarity with space system operational documentation.
  • Current read-on to program for immediate program access.
  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Familiarity with requirements management in Doors and Cameo.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Agile Product Owner and/or Scrum Master certifications.

Pay

Primary level salary range: $169,000.00 - $253,600.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; actual offers consider the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
