About the role
As a Test Automation Software Engineer at Altamira Technologies Corp., you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and quality assurance engineers to understand requirements and develop effective test automation strategies.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, and others.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests into the continuous integration pipeline.
- Develop and maintain test frameworks and libraries to support efficient and scalable testing processes.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on test automation practices.
- Document test cases and test results to ensure traceability and maintainability of automated tests.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing, preferably with a focus on automation.
- Proficiency in at least one automation testing tool (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- Experience with Agile methodologies and iterative development processes.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and quality assurance best practices.
- Understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
Skills
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with database testing and SQL.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter).
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
