Overview

The Department of Biosystems Engineering at Auburn University is seeking candidates for a TES Research Assistant position. Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. TES assists with various reasons including absences, peak workloads, special projects, seasonal work, and emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Precision Agriculture work in the department
  • Assist with managing Biosystems Engineering geospatial
  • Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance of research and teaching equipment
  • Aid in logistical operations such as equipment, materials, and labor needs
  • Record, compile, process, and analyze data/samples
  • Aid in preparing documents for publications and presentations
  • Aid in executing funded projects and planning meetings
  • Communicate with Biosystems Engineering faculty and staff, and appropriate offices regarding assessment data
  • Aid in equipment inventories and work orders
  • Aid in executing funded projects and planning meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department head

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological and Agricultural Technology Management, Biosystems Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or other closely related technology field
  • Valid driver’s license
