About the role
The Territory Sales Representative at Nebraska Harvest Center is responsible for optimizing retail sales to end users of agricultural machinery within an assigned territory. This role involves developing the sales territory for future growth, maintaining relationships with dealerships, providing after-sales product support, and coordinating field demonstrations and training efforts.
Responsibilities
- Attain targeted retail sales and promote products and customer relations for the dealership within the assigned territory.
- Monitor and report on competitive activities within the assigned territory.
- Implement approved marketing tools to enhance product and market knowledge and improve retail sales results.
- Coordinate field demonstrations and training efforts as required.
- Manage relationships with customers and dealers, including conducting factory visits.
- Provide continuous liaison and feedback from the territory to the dealer.
- Achieve and/or exceed annual marketing plans while meeting budget guidelines.
Requirements
- 4-year college degree in agriculture or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in large machinery sales or demonstrated marketing capacity with agricultural equipment manufacturers, preferred.
- Farming background with previous experience in equipment application, adjustment, setting, and operation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of CLAAS products and retail finance processes is a plus.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a verifiable continuous safe driving history.
- Extensive travel required, including some extended stays for marketing and farm show activities during peak seasons.
