About the role

The Territory Sales Representative optimizes retail sales to end users of ag equipment in an assigned territory. The position develops the sales territory for future growth and maintains relationships within dealer guidelines. They provide after-sales product follow-up and support equipment operations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Attains targeted retail sales and promotes products and customer relations for the dealership within the assigned territory.
  • Monitors and reports on competitive activities within the assigned territory.
  • Implements approved marketing tools to strengthen product and market knowledge for improved retail sales results.
  • Coordinates field demonstrations and training efforts as required.
  • Provides continuous liaison and feedback from the territory to the dealer.
  • Achieves and/or exceeds annual marketing plans while meeting goals within allocated budget guidelines.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree in agriculture or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in large machinery sales or experienced marketing capacity with agricultural equipment manufacturers, preferred.
  • Farming background desirable with previous experience in application, adjustment, setting, and operation of farm equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of CLAAS products and retail finance process a plus.
  • Able to meet deadlines and handle a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a verifiable continuous safe driving history is required.
  • Some extensive stays may be required in support of marketing and farm show activities during peak seasons.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of CLAAS products and retail finance processes.
  • Experience in large machinery sales or marketing.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
