About the role

Staples is a business-to-business company that connects with small to medium-sized businesses. As a B2B sales representative, you are responsible for prospecting and winning new customers, as well as ramping and onboarding these new accounts to expand the customer base. This is a high-velocity sales position that involves remote prospect engagement through various channels.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit effective appointment setting skills and meet weekly appointment targets with key decision-makers.
  • Utilize professional selling skills to discover and communicate incremental and programmatic needs of prospects.
  • Communicate Staples' value propositions, capabilities, products, and assortments effectively, including all categories.
  • Overcome objections and close sales using prescribed selling tools and digital platforms.
  • Document customer engagement and information using tools like Priority List, Tenfold, and Salesforce.
  • Work collaboratively with customer support and category specialists to progress deals forward.
  • Create sticky accounts by ensuring continued purchases from Staples.
  • Integrate feedback from prospects into your sales approach and tailor solutions based on Staples' value proposition.
  • Communicate with prospects daily in a professional manner, both in person and face-to-face.

Requirements

  • Basic Qualifications: 1-3 years of successful sales experience or relevant experience as a Staples B2B Sales Associate. 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field. Industry-specific knowledge is a plus.

Pay

Schedule

This is a remote position with a regional focus, supporting customers in Washington, DC and Richmond, VA. While primarily working from home, the individual must reside within or near this region.
