Position Summary

JRP Energy is seeking a Sales Representative to generate new business and maintain customer relationships across assigned territories. This is a business-to-business (B2B) outside sales role focused on prospecting, cold calling, lead generation, customer presentations, and account growth.

Compensation

Compensation Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year based on qualifications plus commission (unlimited earning potential)

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, prospecting, networking, and lead generation
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations for prospective clients
  • Develop and manage a defined sales territory to meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Utilize business intelligence and customer data to support sales strategy and targeting
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive account growth and retention
  • Manage existing accounts through ongoing communication, service, and cross-selling opportunities
  • Transport and utilize product samples during customer visits when applicable
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and customer interactions using CRM tools
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and service delivery
  • Represent JRP professionally in all customer interactions and market activities

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned territory required
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of outside B2B sales experience required
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (email, CRM, spreadsheets)
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with a results-driven approach
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented sales environment
  • Competitive, hunter-style sales mentality
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and customer needs
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
