Territory Sales Representative

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with independent insurance agencies throughout the assigned Midwest territory to drive profitable new business production.
  • Conduct a minimum of 15 in-person agency visits per week to cultivate relationships, identify opportunities, and provide ongoing support.
  • Identify, recruit, and appoint qualified new agency partners to expand market presence within the territory.
  • Support the onboarding of newly appointed agencies, partnering with the Internal Marketing Team to ensure successful onboarding within the first 30 days.
  • Collaborate with Division Directors, Underwriters, Brokers, and Internal Marketing to identify cross-selling opportunities and maximize agency production.
  • Coordinate meetings, presentations, and strategy discussions between agency partners and internal business leaders.
  • Promote and increase participation in company webinars, training sessions, and educational events.
  • Represent Wholesure at industry conferences, trade shows, networking events, and association meetings to strengthen brand awareness and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence, competitive insights, and agency feedback to leadership to support strategic business decisions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of agency interactions, sales activity, and pipeline management within CRM systems.
  • Meet or exceed assigned territory production, growth, and agency engagement goals.

Requirements

  • Highly motivated, results-oriented sales professional with a strong desire for long-term success.
  • Proven ability to build, maintain, and grow professional business relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter who works effectively with minimal supervision while collaborating across departments.
  • Strong business acumen with an entrepreneurial mindset and sense of ownership.
  • Able to analyze market trends and identify business development opportunities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel independently throughout the assigned territory.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory; up to 60% travel is required.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Insurance, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant business experience.
  • Previous experience in insurance sales, business development, agency management, territory management, or a related field preferred.
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license preferred (or the ability to obtain within six months of employment).

Pay Details

The base compensation range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity. Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
