About the role

We are searching for our next Territory Partner who will serve as an Independent Business Owner that is contracted to represent Trupanion within the South Detroit market. This is not a franchise or brokerage. There are no franchise fees and this business does not necessitate a brick-and-mortar operation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an Independent Business Owner contracted to represent Trupanion within the South Detroit market.
  • Build relationships and educate veterinarians, vet techs, and office staff about Trupanion’s pet health insurance product.
  • Expand Trupanion’s Territory Partner network and increase direct marketing to veterinarians.
  • Generate revenue through commissions and residual income from activated policies in the exclusive region.

Requirements

  • Background in sales, business ownership, or veterinary industry.
  • Reside in the South Detroit metro area.
  • Available to dedicate 40 hours a week to building your business.
  • Successfully obtain a Property and Casualty license in Michigan.

  • Drive and motivation to succeed as a business owner.
  • Ability to manage time and resources effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with veterinarians and veterinary staff.
  • Knowledge of the veterinary industry and pet insurance.

Pay

As a business owner, your expected costs will include your time, travel, food, and refreshments for hospital “lunch and learn” sessions, and any additional marketing materials you choose to purchase. You can expect to invest one thousand dollars per month in the first year as you get started.

This position requires dedicating 40 hours a week to building your business.
