Reports to: Regional Sales Director

About the role

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales growth and net hearing instrument sales while building, growing, and maintaining customer relationships. Candidates must live within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve net hearing instrument sales quota on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships to grow current customer business, address service issues (e.g., remakes, repairs, turnaround times), lower return-for-credit rates, and gather competitive information.
  • Prepare an annual territory business plan, reviewed and updated quarterly with the regional director and inside sales counterpart. The plan should include:
    • Sales growth aligned with corporate goals.
    • Appropriate zoning of the customer base in the region.
    • Collaboration with inside sales to prospect, develop, and recruit new customers monthly.
    • Successful introduction and establishment of new products to existing and new customers.
  • Coordinate training for customers to fit all GN ReSound’s hearing devices using GN ReSound’s software-based programs.
  • Provide GN ReSound software and hardware support to existing accounts as needed.
  • Develop effective communication and platform presentation skills to present and sell GN ReSound’s technology to individuals and groups.
  • Utilize marketing tools and programs in conjunction with open houses to build customer business and loyalty to GN ReSound.
  • Maintain the accuracy of the GN ReSound customer database in the assigned region.
  • Complete sales and corporate reporting requirements in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain professional standards of behavior and decorum when representing the company with customers, coworkers, and at professional meetings.

Requirements

  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
  • Experience with database management.
  • Adherence to HR policies, including all company and department procedures.
  • Exemplary platform skills.
  • Meet performance and behavior expectations as outlined in company appraisals or communicated by management.
  • Perform responsibilities with a high degree of quality and professionalism within expected timeframes.
  • Follow good safety practices in all activities.
  • Establish and maintain positive and productive work relationships with staff, customers, and business partners.
  • Demonstrate behavioral and technical competencies necessary for the role.
  • Take initiative for technical and professional development.
  • Safeguard sensitive and confidential company information.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: 4-year college degree.
  • Preferred: 3+ years in outside sales selling a tangible product.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of Business-to-Business (non-retail) selling experience.
  • Up to 75% travel required.
  • Field-based working environment.
  • Physical demands: Ability to lift 15 lbs, sitting, walking, and standing.

Pay

Total annual compensation includes a competitive base pay and performance-based commissions. Depending on work location, the annual base pay ranges from $75,000 to $85,000, with total annual compensation (including at-plan commissions) around $210,000 to $230,000.

Schedule

Salaried position, primarily Monday–Friday, with occasional evening requirements.
