Territory Sales Manager – Detroit MI
About the role
A Territory Sales Representative is needed to support the launch of an innovative new product within the convenience retail channel. This role involves building retailer relationships, expanding distribution, and driving sales across an assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow sales within an assigned territory.
- Build new customer relationships while increasing product distribution and market penetration.
- Educate retailers on product features, merchandising, promotions, and category opportunities.
- Execute point-of-sale materials and ensure product placement and merchandising standards are maintained.
- Utilize CRM tools to manage territory activity, prioritize accounts, and monitor competitive activity.
- Partner with distributors and internal teams to support successful product launches and ongoing sales growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent sales experience.
- 1–3+ years of field sales or territory management experience calling on convenience stores, independent retailers, smoke/vape shops, or other retail accounts.
- Proven success developing new business, growing distribution, and selling emerging brands.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales analytics to effectively manage a territory.
- Self-motivated with a hunter mentality, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel daily throughout an assigned territory
Qualifications
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Experience in the convenience retail channel, tobacco, or similar industries.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and sales analytics.
