About the role

The Territory Sales Representative represents heavy equipment machine sales products in a defined geographic territory.

Responsibilities

  • Target general contractors, asphalt paving, concrete, and earthmoving contractors.
  • Establish and build relationships.
  • Organize and communicate effectively.
  • Use basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
  • Present a business-like, professional appearance.
  • Make "cold calls" and nurture existing relationships.
  • Update and maintain records in CRM software.
  • Work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Show general knowledge of heavy construction equipment.
  • Apply selling techniques and close sales.
  • Show excellent selling, negotiating, and closing skills.
  • Show first-class organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Show general knowledge of retail financing.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
  • A background in Heavy Equipment Sales is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license.
