About the role
The Territory Sales Representative represents heavy equipment machine sales products in a defined geographic territory.
Responsibilities
- Target general contractors, asphalt paving, concrete, and earthmoving contractors.
- Establish and build relationships.
- Organize and communicate effectively.
- Use basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
- Present a business-like, professional appearance.
- Make "cold calls" and nurture existing relationships.
- Update and maintain records in CRM software.
- Work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Show general knowledge of heavy construction equipment.
- Apply selling techniques and close sales.
- Show excellent selling, negotiating, and closing skills.
- Show first-class organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
- Show general knowledge of retail financing.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
- A background in Heavy Equipment Sales is preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.
- A valid driver’s license.
