Responsibilities
- Represent heavy equipment machine sales products in a defined geographic territory.
- Sell, lease, or rent of these products to general contractors, asphalt paving, concrete, and earthmoving contractors.
- Target general contractors, asphalt paving, concrete, and earthmoving contractors.
- Establish and build relationships with customers.
- Organize and communicate effectively.
- Use basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
- Have a business-like, professional appearance.
- Make "cold calls" and nurture existing relationships.
- Keep updated and thorough records of calls, leads, and sales forecasts using CRM software.
- Work tirelessly to develop and manage a defined territory.
- Show general knowledge of heavy construction equipment.
- Show demonstrated knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales).
- Show excellent selling, negotiating, and closing skills.
- Show ability to build long-term business relationships.
- Show first-class organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
- Show ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Show general knowledge of retail financing.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
- A background in Heavy Equipment Sales (preferred).
- A high school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (preferred).
- A valid driver’s license.
- Bilingual helpful but not required.
