About the role

Orion180 is seeking a Territory Manager to drive growth and expand our agency network across the states we serve. In this key role, you’ll serve as the primary liaison between Orion180 and our agency partners—fueling success through strategic recruitment, seamless onboarding, and exceptional relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Support Agency Onboarding: Partner with the Onboarding Team to seamlessly integrate new agencies into the Orion180 platform.
  • Drive Growth: Promote Orion180 products to independent agencies to increase premium, policy count, and overall territory performance.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Develop and maintain high-impact relationships with decision-makers, producers, CSRs, and support staff to strengthen engagement and loyalty.
  • Communicate With Influence: Deliver clear, confident communication—both verbal and written—including presenting to groups through webinars, training sessions, and agency meetings.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert: Provide guidance on underwriting guidelines, appetite, and procedures to support agency partners.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Customer Service and Underwriting teams to resolve issues and support a positive experience for agents and policyholders.
  • Monitor & Report Performance: Create, manage, and interpret Excel-based reports to track key performance metrics and support strategic decision-making.
  • Stay Market-Aware: Keep current with market conditions, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and inform strategy.
  • Analyze & Optimize Territory Results: Evaluate performance trends, identify gaps or opportunities, and work with leadership to implement adjustments that drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in P&C insurance, mortgage industry sales, or business development.
  • Active P&C license required, or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
  • Familiarity with underwriting guidelines and processes is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships through clear, effective communication.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong multitasking, organizational, and time-management abilities.
  • Willingness to work after-hours as needed and travel up to 25%.

Work Environment

This is an on-site role with a fast-paced and collaborative team culture. The position requires regular sitting, standing, and walking, including the use of stairs. Occasional bending, twisting, or squatting may be needed to access files or office equipment. The employee must be able to lift light objects (under 25 lbs) and use standard office equipment. Willingness to work extended hours as needed based on project requirements or customer demands.
