Territory Sales Manager

About the role

Lift Solutions is seeking a passionate and driven Territory Sales Manager (TSM) to join our team, covering Putnam, CT. This individual will play a key role in driving sales efforts, building strong customer relationships, and contributing to the overall success of our innovative industrial lifting solutions. We provide OSHA compliance inspections, crane equipment, aftermarket services, and parts for overhead cranes, rigging, and other lifting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies, and programs to capture Key Accounts.
• Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage the sales cycle to close new business in all market segments.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets, with a focus on profitable growth within the territory.
• Perform market analysis of Top Accounts, business climate, and competition.
• Become an expert in the industry with in-depth product knowledge to serve as a valuable resource for customers, including applications, training, and safety procedures.
• Support current customers and add value for prospects by introducing new products and training on safety requirements.
• Conduct customer-focused sales presentations and make construction site calls.
• Create reports as needed and on a timely basis.
• Maintain data relative to accounts, prospects, and activities, including customer interactions and documentation.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of previous proven outside sales experience required, B2B preferred.
• Experience in the Industrial Lifting industry (wire rope, chain, rigging, elevator) is preferred but not required.
• Must be a highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and high level of integrity.
• Proficient with presentation, selling, negotiation, and listening skills.
• Highly effective communication skills required for daily interactions with warehouse personnel, wire fabricators, branch managers, customers, and prospects.
• Willingness to travel overnight.
• College degree preferred, not required.
• Familiarity with computer software applications such as CRM and MS Office Suite.
