Territory Manager, Surgical Workplace (New England)
About the Role
As a Territory Manager for Surgical Workplace (SW), you will drive sales and support of Getinge’s Surgical Workplace Products—including Surgical Lights, Booms, Tables, and Video Integration—for both existing and new customers in your assigned territory. The role balances replacement, renovation, and new construction opportunities with key objectives to grow market share, build strong customer relationships, and enhance brand loyalty and satisfaction. You will plan, prioritize, and track all sales cycle events while applying deep knowledge of Getinge’s products and marketing strategies to achieve profit margin and market share growth.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed sales targets while managing expenses within the assigned territory.
- Develop strategic sales plans for all opportunities and track sales cycle events.
- Update individual forecasted sales data weekly, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Provide ROI and business case justifications for purchasing Getinge Surgical Workplace products.
- Manage forecasting, monitoring, closing, and post-sales support for all territory business.
- Promote all Getinge product offerings, including equipment lines, training programs, and service contracts.
- Market and sell equipment as upgrades or replacements to the installed base.
- Target new customers to replace competitors’ installed base.
- Lead follow-up, sales planning, and territory management.
- Identify resources needed to effectively position Getinge during sales and support.
- Track, report, and analyze sales opportunities with the Regional Sales Manager.
- Manage product demonstration events and assist with installation and post-sales support.
- Monitor and report customer issues to the Regional Sales Director or responsible Getinge employee.
- Manage time and resources to achieve territory objectives.
- Participate in regional and national trade shows as required.
- Foster teamwork within the region and maintain collaborative relationships across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with governmental regulations, maintaining honesty, integrity, and strong work ethics.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of medical device/capital sales experience, including direct selling to physicians and hospitals; or 4 years of applicable clinical experience with sales aptitude.
- Experience in the Operating Room (OR) preferred.
- Alternatively, 4 years of experience in roles focused on building client relationships, problem-solving, strategic planning, and stakeholder coordination may be considered if it demonstrates strong sales aptitude.
- Valid driver’s license.

- Proven record of success or achievement in professional roles, including meeting or exceeding performance goals.
- Solid understanding of the functional area and application of business concepts, procedures, and practices.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a demanding matrix environment and function well in a team selling approach.
- Experience operating within an established budget.
- Sound knowledge of business alternatives and ability to select innovative, practical methods for problem resolution.
- Ability to establish and cultivate an extensive support network to facilitate assignments.
- Ability to influence middle management and external customers on technical and new business solutions.
- Excellent communication, listening, interpersonal, and organizational skills; self-motivated and goal-driven.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
Pay
Total compensation: $170,000 - $185,000 (base + at-plan target incentive), depending on experience and location.
