Territory Manager - Landscaping, Lot Sweeping and Irrigation Pro
About the role
At Ferrandino & Son, Inc., we are seeking a Territory Manager to join our team. The Territory Manager will independently develop and grow client relationships across assigned territories, focusing on quality control assessments of client properties.
Responsibilities
- Learn and develop an understanding of plants, grasses, and trees that thrive in various environments, and ways to issue-spot and problem-solve for various environmental factors affecting exterior maintenance.
- Adapt communication styles to effectively communicate with a diverse range of clients, service partners, and individuals, driving business opportunities.
- Develop and implement client-specific approaches that blend service partner abilities with client requirements, ensuring quality across all contractual agreements.
- Conduct ongoing relationship-building and coaching with existing vendor partners and new vendor partners, ensuring they understand expectations and support business growth.
- Qualify and vet potential new vendor partners for inclusion in the vetting process.
- Be available to meet with vendor partners upon request, assessing properties within the assigned territory for quality control, and ensuring that exterior maintenance meets client standards and contractual requirements.
- Communicate consistently with clients about needs and goals, building relationships and ensuring service expectations are met and contractual obligations are fulfilled.
- Independently identify and resolve issues, review and understand contracts to ensure compliance with scope of work and opportunities for business development, and propose site enhancements to clients.
- Manage and lead site enhancement projects with clients, promptly identifying safety issues and proposing out-of-scope enhancements.
- Initiate remedial efforts with vendor partners who are not performing and lead trainings focused on environmental factors like arboriculture, botany, and horticulture.
- Perform Request for Proposal (RFP) measurements, assessments, and picture-taking, and independently manage and perform field requests as directed by the Regional Manager.
- Onboard new vendor partners with constant communication and assist in executing enhancement projects according to contract.
- Counsel vendor partners to suggest out-of-scope enhancements recognized during their regular service rotations.
- Lead and participate in trainings focused on environmental factors like arboriculture, botany, and horticulture.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of commercial landscape management, snow removal, irrigation, and lot sweeping.
- Exemplary communication, presentation, problem-solving, and time-management skills, particularly with vendors and clients.
- Proven ability to work independently, in an organized, focused, and disciplined manner.
- Able to identify, balance, and prioritize shifting client needs and grow client relationships.
- Ability to travel within designated territory and other territories, with overnight stays, as necessary, and some weekend travel.
- Self-starter who can manage all day-to-day activities, including schedules, on-site and off-site meetings, and critical deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills with internal management, client representatives, and service partners, both written and verbal.
- Ability to understand and operate internal operating systems, MOS products, tablets, cell phones, and cameras.
- Valid driver's license in one of the 50 states with a clean driving record.
- Physically able to drive and operate a vehicle; walk; stand; speak; sit; write; and type.

Pay
Base pay, if hired, may include discretionary bonuses and other short and long-term incentive packages. Expected base pay rates will be between $65,000 and $75,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
Schedule
The position allows for flexible scheduling, with work largely independent in the field, visiting client sites. Travel is seasonal, increasing before, during, and after snow events, and for other business-critical events. AGPS devices/trackers are installed on all vehicles and/or cell phones.
