About the role
As the leading provider of virtual fencing technology, Halter is on a mission to enable 50% of the world’s landmass to be more productive and sustainable. This role is paramount for our growth aspirations and will enable us to continue making an impact on ranches across the US.
You will play a critical role in driving new business growth and ensuring customer success within your designated territory. You will be responsible for executing sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and meeting ambitious growth targets, all while acting as Halter’s on-the-ground representative.
- Proactively prospecting new business through outbound lead generation efforts and responding to inbound leads.
- Executing in-field sales, helping customers gather their cattle, and providing support during calving seasons.
- Expanding existing opportunities by finding new ways to increase value for existing customers.
- Hitting high-growth sales targets without second-guessing unqualified leads.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and support.
- Ensuring a smooth handoff from sales to customer onboarding and deployment of Halter’s product.
- Gathering and sharing customer feedback to improve Halter’s offerings.
- Collaborating with support teams to resolve issues and provide ongoing customer support.
- Attending industry events to generate leads and deepen relationships with existing customers.
- Contributing to the US Sales Strategy by optimizing and evolving the sales process.
Requirements
- Experience in ranching or cattle operations.
- A background in creating new business opportunities and building lasting customer relationships.
- Experience managing a large territory with a balanced focus on sales and customer success, preferably within agriculture or technology.
- Resourcefulness and quick thinking to address challenges and drive solutions.
- A willingness to travel frequently within your territory.
Qualifications
- Results-driven and motivated with a proven track record of success in sales and customer success roles.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with customers and internal teams.
- Proactive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with precision agriculture or virtual fencing technologies.
- Background in selling software (SaaS) solutions in a B2B environment.
