Overview
This is a remote position; however, candidates must be based in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area. The territory includes Texas (excluding Houston and El Paso), Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
Responsibilities
- Develops an in-depth knowledge of Contec’s core products via successful completion of required sales training and utilizes this knowledge to successfully sell Contec product solutions to new and existing customers in the assigned territory.
- Creates and executes a territory sales plan that meets or exceeds established sales quotas and supports Contec revenue and profit targets.
- Optimizes business development plan by maximizing time in the field and overall efficiency through development of leads.
- Meets regularly with manufacturer representatives in sales territory to understand their evolving business needs and position product solutions to meet surfaced needs.
- Continuously expands customer understanding and uses Contec product solutions and capabilities.
- Builds long-term, productive, and mutually beneficial relationships with manufacturer representatives and their existing and new customers.
- Maintains consistent communication and timely follow-up with manufacturer representatives and prospects and is available and responsive to their customer’s real-time needs.
- Works effectively with internal support departments (Marketing, Customer Service, and Product Development) to promote sales for new and existing customers to maximize Contec’s visibility in the marketplace.
- Attends conferences, trade shows, and other professional meetings to promote Contec’s product solutions and brand.
- SUBMIT TIMELY AND PERIODIC ACTIVITY (CRM) AND EXPENSE REPORTS.
- Participates and works within ISO 9001 quality standards guidelines in accordance with Contec’s quality goals.

Requirements
- Education and/or Experience: A bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university or five years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Demonstrated effectiveness in new business development and lead qualification.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Healthcare related certificates, licenses, vendor credentialing memberships or registrations are preferred but not required.
- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to communicate and convey information. The associate is occasionally required to be in a stationary position, move or traverse; prepare, inspect, observe, or detect physical and visual characteristics of raw materials, products, and processes; position objects and items. The associate must occasionally lift or transport up to 25 pounds.
