As a Territory Business Manager in our Advanced Surgery division, you will represent Baxter’s deep portfolio of surgical products, building trust and relationships with healthcare professionals who rely on our solutions to save and sustain lives. You will promote our hemostats, sealing, and tissue products in an assigned geography, addressing both clinical and economic needs while empowering surgical teams to innovate in the operating room. This role requires personal accountability, a competitive drive, and the ability to excel at every stage of the customer’s buying process.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales quotas through the direct sale of all products and services.
  • Grow awareness and educate physicians on the accurate use of Baxter products in on-label surgical procedures, including features and benefits.
  • Call on prospective customers, providing technical and administrative product information and/or demonstrations.
  • Maintain effective relationships with customers, gaining their trust and respect while meeting internal and external expectations.
  • Monitor sales against forecasts and assess market potential for the territory; stay informed about competitive strategies and tactics.
  • Coordinate with hospital administration, supply chain management, materials management, and purchasing.
  • Demonstrate support for other teams and contribute to efforts beyond your immediate scope of responsibilities.
  • Provide feedback to management and marketing for the development of programs, product recommendations, line revisions, and pricing changes.
  • Work autonomously to achieve established goals while proactively communicating with management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience OR 8+ years of operating room sales experience (High School degree required).
  • Proven experience with hospital-based selling in the operating room and managing a large territory.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and social skills.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50%, including visits to remote or urban areas, either individually or with colleagues. The territory may span several states.
  • Must live within the assigned geography or be willing to relocate; familiarity with the territory is strongly desired.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; sponsorship for employment visas is not available at this time.

Pay

The estimated pay range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 annually. Individual pay is based on location, skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This role is also eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding goals.
