Responsibilities

  • Business & Customer Strategy
    • Develop annual and seasonal marketing strategies grounded in business objectives, customer insights, category performance, and brand priorities.
    • Maintain deep understanding of Terrain’s performance metrics—including category and product trends, traffic, conversion, acquisition, retention, channel performance, and key growth drivers.
    • Partner with Digital Marketing and Customer Analytics to analyze behavior and identify opportunities across acquisition, engagement, frequency, retention, and lifetime value.
    • Connect quantitative data with qualitative insights to pinpoint the biggest opportunities and challenges, and translate them into clear strategic choices.
  • Integrated Marketing Strategy & Execution
    • Translate business priorities into seasonal narratives and go‑to‑market plans across digital, email, social, paid media, PR, partnerships, retail, events, and the broader Anthropologie ecosystem.
    • Identify and prioritize customer moments, categories, and product stories that drive brand and commercial growth.

  • Performance Analysis & Optimization
    • Own the marketing performance narrative, collaborating with Digital Marketing, Customer Analytics, Media, and Finance to derive actionable insights.
    • Analyze campaign, category, segment, and channel performance to spot trends, opportunities, and areas for intervention.
    • Develop hypotheses, test, and learn; establish KPIs and measurement frameworks linking marketing activity to customer and commercial outcomes.
    • Lead campaign and seasonal recaps that explain what happened, why, and what should be done differently, using insights to continuously optimize audience strategy, channel mix, messaging, investment, and future plans.
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership
    • Serve as the primary strategic marketing partner to Terrain leadership, Merchandising, Creative, Digital, and Retail teams.
    • Unify teams around a shared understanding of the customer, business opportunity, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
    • Translate complex data and competing priorities into clear recommendations that enable faster, more informed decision‑making.
    • Develop compelling presentations and communicate performance, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
    • Collaborate with the broader Anthropologie Group Brand Strategy & Integrated Marketing team to share capabilities, insights, and opportunities while preserving Terrain’s distinct brand positioning.
