Terms Of Reference For: 3 National Consultant To Supervise The MAR Construction Works (Kagera Shared Aquifer One Consultant For Uganda Site & One Consultant For Rwanda Site)
The Nile Basin Initiative intends to employ the services of Individual National Consultant to participate in and support the Supervision for the MAR Construction Works (Kagera shared Aquifer)- in consultation with the international consultant, and the implementation consultants. The assignment described in these ToRs is funded through NBI member country contributions, and Global Environment Facility through United Nations Development Program.
About the role
The selected consultant will be responsible for supervising the construction works of the MAR (Multiple Aquifer Recharge) project in Kagera shared aquifer, specifically for the Uganda site and Rwanda site. The consultant will work closely with the international consultant and the implementation consultants to ensure the successful completion of the project.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the construction works of the MAR project in Kagera shared aquifer, including the Uganda site and Rwanda site.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the international consultant and implementation consultants to address any issues that arise during the project.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the local team on project implementation.
- Monitor progress and report regularly to the project management team.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in water resource management or related field.
- Proven experience in supervising construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of MAR technology and aquifer recharge processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Water Resource Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in water resources management or similar fields preferred.
Skills
