Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.
- Inspect and audit equipment usage and checklists periodically for issues.
- Generate parts requisitions for repairs.
- Correct equipment deficiencies with proper diagnosing techniques.
- Provide input on preventing inadvertent equipment breakdowns.
- Remove parts, major assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components.
- Work system, such as, rotating, fixed, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Complete shop operations by making adjustments and alignments to items like bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, oil systems, linkages, rollers, bearings, etc.
- Verify equipment performance by conducting test drives and making adjustments to controls and systems.
- Comply with equipment requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
- Complete equipment records by annotating services and repairs on work orders.
- Participate in Safety and Health Training requirements as scheduled.
- Assist in other areas of business as needed.
- Attend and participate in all daily, weekly/monthly toolbox meetings, safety meetings and/or standdowns.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- 5+ years of experience and/or certifications are required.
- Must have the ability to work on multiple fronts simultaneously.
- Must have or be able to obtain specialized training and certifications that must be completed and maintained.
- Must have the demonstrated ability to independently establish priorities.
- Must be able to read and interpret parts manuals, drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
- Must possess and maintain a valid US driver’s license.
- Must pass all pre-employment testing including a drug test, physical and background check.
