Teradata Architect
This is a contract, hybrid position based in the northern suburbs of Chicago, requiring on-site presence 4 days a week. The role involves representing our end client and ensuring the project solution aligns with requirements.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Teradata Architect/Technical Lead to assist with a large-scale project migrating an on-prem Teradata environment to Teradata cloud. This complex project involves multiple vendor partners, including Teradata for migrations and ETL processes. All data has been scoped and evaluated for quality, with critical financial data requiring special attention during key milestones. The full ecosystem details will be provided in documentation after client review.
This role includes heavy documentation responsibilities related to SLC processes, quality checks, and data migration validation.
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural decisions for migrating on-prem Teradata to Teradata cloud
- Collaborate with vendor partners, including Teradata and ETL teams
- Ensure project solutions align with client requirements
- Document SLC processes and quality checks during data migrations
- Oversee validation of critical financial data during key milestones
Requirements
- Expertise in Teradata Warehouses and architecture
- Proficiency with Informatica ETL tools
- Experience with data migration projects
- Strong documentation skills
- Ability to work on-site in North Chicago, IL 4 days per week

Pay
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $100.00 per hour. Individual compensation will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
