Description of duties
- preparation of lectures and course materials
- delivery of lectures
- possible supervision of Teaching Assistants
- setting and marking assignments, projects, examinations, etc.
- timely submission of final marks
- advising students (in person and via email)
- other appropriate teaching duties related to the course
- ability to convert to online duties if required
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in the area of Emotional Intelligence and Leadership
- Extensive knowledge of EQ assessments, particularly The Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i)
- Excellent skills in performing assessments and generating reports based on assessment results
- Experience in and knowledge of evidence-based research that links leadership effectiveness to authenticity and mindfulness
- Experience with mindfulness training programs and activities related to enhancing students’ personal leadership capability and readiness for success
- Strong record of presenting lectures
- Ability to lecture in a clear voice and explain concepts clearly
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Education, Business or Leadership Studies, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in leadership development theory and practice
- Proven track record of effective teaching and curriculum design
- Understanding of engineering profession and context
- Capacity to deliver experiential pedagogy
