Tenured/Tenure Track: Open Rank-Geriatric
About the role
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (MPSY), part of the Naresh K. Vashisht College of Medicine at Texas A&M University, seeks two (2) full-time, open-rank tenured or tenure-track positions. These positions are 11-month academic appointments with flexible start dates.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the academic community and the needs of the Texas and global communities through research, clinical care, teaching, and service.
- Establish an independent research program focused on geriatric psychiatry to secure extramural funding.
- Teach clinical and research trainees.
- Provide academic service to the department and university.
Requirements
- M.D., Ph.D. degree, or equivalent professional degree.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas (if applicable).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (if applicable).
Qualifications
- Demonstrated excellence in scholarship.
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical care and/or teaching.
- Strong commitment to advancing geriatric psychiatry through innovative research and education.
Skills
- Ability to secure external funding.
- Experience in geriatric psychiatry research, clinical care, and teaching.
